    Guys'n'Gals,

I've come across something odd on my new Classic - ever since I got it it keeps asking me to verify my Facebook Messenger account, but it never had it on, and AFAIK, that app doesn't even exist for BB10, so why the H... is it asking for it? I tried removing Facebook, which didn't help, and also tried out some of the BB10 FB messenger-like apps, and then removing them, but that made no difference either. It asks for it ever day at least once it seems.

Has anyone of you come across this or know a solution for it? It's not a big problem as such, but it's bloody annoying.

I get the same thing regarding Twittly. Even after I deleted the app and reinstalled it still asks.

Have you checked in device monitor under cpu and storage to see if fb was deleted?

That is where I deleted mine when I first got the classic

yup, already checked there - FB isn't on. I generally find it strange that the phone would ask me for a Facebook Messenger account specifically, since that app doesn't even exist for BB10.. I haven't had issues with FB itself as of yet :/

Known problem if you restore from a backup. Possible solution: don't restore from a backup. Start from scratch.

damn, that sucks, having to start it over without using a backup. i'll give that a try then, thanks

heh, yeah, I might just aswell stay away from FB I think - the app that is. Some of its features are no longer in-app anyway, but are launched through a browser.

The problem has nothing to do with FB. I have 4 apps on my Q10 and my Classic that are randomly asking to update my account info although they have been deleted on my Q10 a couple of month ago.

To resolve this problem.. it's a pain but needs to be done. You have to reinstall your OS. Once done.. this is the key part.. do not restore your settings back up. Only restore media and applications.

    That is the only solution.
