More than likely it will be nano, as it seems that all new devices are moving toward it.

Judging from the leaked pic of the sd and sim tray, it's a nano. The sd is much taller than the sim. If it was the micro, the length would be about the same.

Why not? Because it makes it a pain to switch between the classic/passport and any previous BlackBerry device.

I would understand the switch to a nano sim, if the scale of the devices was decreasing while the components remained the same size or were getting larger. However, as one can see... the devices are not getting smaller (I'm looking at you Passport), and I would hope technological advances allow for incrementally smaller components/manufacturing.

But what do I know, maybe it's just all taken up by a millimeter of extra battery volume.

Micro was a big improvement over mini, but nano, not so much. I don't care much but if the industry moves to nano, they need to do that as well.

This is something that needs to be as "standard" as possible. I want them to stick with micro, but they need to do what everyone else does on this one.

Well, Passport is releasing first and it's quite large, so I wasnt sure. Thanks for the snide and still unconfirmed answer. I looked it up myself, however, and yes, it is Nano.

Nano to micro adapters make that swap easy. They're also not expensive, and relatively easy to find.

If there is no question that the market is moving to nano, then the sooner the better to make the switch.
