As I was napping with my baby daughter I noticed her hunger for my classic. I thought not much of it until I fully awoke seconds later to realize that my phone wouldn't turn on. It was stuck in a repeating cycle of showing "blackberry classic" and then a red light for one second, and back to "blackberry classic" screen, and again and again, and so on.

What gives?

I have had mine stick in a similar cycle, where I had significant problems trying to shut it down.

I think I kept trying to turn it off: eventually it would turn off, and only then would I power it back up.

Either that, or your Small Person has slobbered on it enough to fry something internally.

All fixed. Somehow, hooking it up to BlackBerry link for a few minutes helped bypass the cycle.
