Don't know why by my 9900 gets a better signal than my Classic.

We live 14 miles out of town in a hilly area. With the Classic I'm lucky to get one (1) bar. The 9900 always gets one or two more bars.

    Same antenna?

Rather than looking at "bars" on devices running different OSes that may have hard-coded the rssi values differently for the bars, I suggest you do speed tests instead. Turn both devices into a hotspot and use your computer to download in those 1-bar areas.

    Thanks for the info.
    Just how is this done?

All I know is the 9900 is able to dial out when the Classic won't.

The 9900 is not an LTE device. Make sure that in the mobile network settings LTE is not selected from the dropdown choices. Select HSPA/UMTS instead (or 3G depending on your carrier). See how it is then.

What service do you use? I use tmobile and I get WAYYY better service on my classic than the 9900. I think it's due to the fact I get LTE vs 4g

One thing I do know is that I can hold a solid 2G signal on my 9900 than my classic
