Does the Classic have the option to close the window at the top that displays the previously (And/or currently) played music track? I seem to recall that it used to disappear on its own. I feel like it takes up too much screen space.

I found one way to make that window at the top go away, restart the phone.

Any way to make it go away without doing that? I can't seem to find any settings/preferences for the music application, only for sound.

I agree. If it isn't, what could be the reason? And how can I fix it?

It should only appear if you play with the volume buttons. And should disappear after a few seconds at most.

If it doesn't, try a hard reboot (holding up and down volume rockers for 10 seconds)

If that still doesn't help, you might be stuck having to reload the OS through BlackBerry link (wiping your device to its factory settings). Hopefully you won't need to do this.

That is exactly how it works for me, when I am listening to music and the music player window is not open. My OP was asking about if it is possible to close that window when the music player window is open.
