BlackBerry Classic is an upcoming successor model to last year's BlackBerry Q10 sporting a slightly bigger screen & the 'Tool-Belt'. The battery capacity has also been increased to 2515mAh keeping the same 8MP camera but might have an upgraded lens. It won't have the same high end Passport's camera but definitely better than earlier BlackBerry 10 models. The navigation of full UI with the TrackPad on the toolbelt is like legacy devices. TheBlackBerry Menu key brings up the short menu while the call & end keys does the job as expected. We have seen many set of photos of this beautiful phone but it's always a pleasure to see more isn't it? So here you go!

Do we already know more details about the display? We know the size has increased to 3.5" and they stay true to the 1:1 ratio, but what about resolution and screen technology used there? If it again features an AMOLED screen, I surely won't get it over the Passport.

I don't think we know yet if display is IPS or AMOLED, but the guesses I've seen have pointed toward AMOLED. Q10 is amoled, Q5 is IPS; I hope it's IPS as AMOLED displays make colors look to "bright" to me. Rather have a device that reminds me of my desktop PC screens, with colors and brightness that don't strain the eyes for boardroom or bedside use, and to me that's always been IPS screens.

There is an IPS vs AMOLED thread on the Q20 here: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...ps-lcd-937737/
    It's LCD.

Good news, my Q10 szarted showing first burn-in signs after roughly a year of use and my 1020 is even worth, showing burn-in after not even half a year. I like the AMOLED idea, but unless they manage to handle this issue better, I don't want another device with such a display.

Is this a widespread problem with amoled displays, or the Q10? I have not heard of this being an issue before for either, and didn't experience on my Q10. Any idea what caused your burn-in? Also, what screen/image is burned in?
It's a universal issue for AMOLED displays. I used to hear this on a lot of devices prior to BlackBerry even using them. It usually happens after a year or two, but depends on the usage of the device of course.

I commonly see this problem when I walk into a smartphone carrier store and look at demo models. Since the devices are on all day, you often see the ghosting issue more commonly on AMOLED devices.

Last week I dropped my Q10 from high, on concrete and the body was completely intact. I started using it and noticed the screen started to almost "bleed" inside. I saw a bit of how the burn in effect looks with image ghosting. After a few more minutes, the display completely filled with black. It's not fully related, but I did see the burn in effects a little. Had to switch to the 9930 for a few days (forgot how much I missed the trackpad/toolbelt but not BB7) before I received my $19 display replacement for my Q10. All is better now.
