In previous OS versions you could press and hold the date line and options would pop up. One of those options was "mark prior read" I have not been able to do that since I bought the classic. Is there something I'm missing?

Still worked on my Classic when I had it, so... not quite sure what the problem could be.

OK here is a screen shot of my Z30 showing the options after pressing and holding the date line.

    Mark prior read-img_20150308_144056.png

Then this is the classic after the same action

    Mark prior read-img_20150308_144734.jpg

If I click the more options, I get this

    Mark prior read-img_20150308_144751.jpg

None of these give me the option of marking prior read.

Not sure why the third pic is not showing.

You have to hold 'the date' with your finger. Don't know why it won't come up with the menu or trackpad keys...

Do you any apps that shorten your menu? Is there a menu length setting? I don't see the more option on my Z30, or is that only on pkb ones since the screen is smaller?

I've got no problem on my Classic. Either touching and holding on the screen or highlighting with the track and pressing and holding seems to work for me?

You can also press alt U which will mark it read or unread.

My z30 lost the menu item too after loading 1154 leak.

Rebooted the phone and it was all well.

    1) why do you have two columns of status (battery carrier etc)??

    2) you don't have to touch the screen, you can navigate to date witht the trackpad and keep pressing the trackpad, it performs the same action as holding it with your thumb

It's a screen shot. Thats why it shows two lines of status. I was going to send the screen shot directly, but then decided to take a pic with my z30. Just bad planning is all.

If holding your finger down on the thin row that has the date doesn't work, try and tap the menu key on the bottom right of the screen (the 3 little dots). Then select 'more' at the bottom of the menu and there you will see 'mark prior read'
    You're welcome

Z10 on 10.3.1b2558, haven't got that option. If it doesn't return, then I'll have to stay on leaks.

Seems like it's OS inherent now.
