Anybody know if it's possible to get the KINDLE app on my classic? Had it on my Z10 but can't seem to find it? Any suggestions? Thx.

Also works on Passport, so Classic shouldn't be a prob either.
Amazon App Store is pre-loaded, so you can find the app there.

    :-D

    * no need to involve Google, LOL ;-)

  Telstra has the Classic now, "got it in two weeks agow"...  

The Kindle app is really slow and buggy on my Classic. Have any of you had any issues?

A lot of the Google apps downloaded through Amazon App Store are slow and buggy. This is a known issue.

My Kindle app from Amazon (on my Classic) used to work really well. Since they updated it is very slow each and every time I use it. Long delay before it downloads, and then a blank screen, then a message asking if I want to wait or cancel. When that message come up, by the time I click wait the app opens. I guess I should write to them and complain. Not sure why with the update it is so bad. However on the bright side, once it opens it works fine and I love it.

I'm the anti-convergence guy I guess. I carry a separate Kindle Paperwhite for my ebooks and an iPod for my music. Battery life is always at a premium so I forgo the convenience of one device for everything in favor of multiple devices. Plus ebooks are SO much more enjoyable on a Kindle vs a BlackBerry screen. Am I a dinosaur for thinking like this?

Not at all. I also have a Kindle Paper Light 3G and a Fire HDX. Lol. And a Kobo.

It ran my Classic hot and drained the battery. Had to delete as well.

Hardly. It's just a matter of lifestyle. I don't think people who stick to feature phones nowadays as dinosaur either. You clearly value battery life and are willing to do less on your phone for it.

I agree with the delays in loading for Passport too, so obviously the faster processor makes no difference. On the plus side with the Classic the trackpad flips pages: which strangely the touch keyboard on the Passport doesn't!
I really like the Classic too!

I wonder if the version makes a difference? It never used to be this bad.

I never knew the trackpad would flip pages. Just tried it and love it! Thanks.

Yeah it's great, and even not bad to read on. Anything under 720p is crappy, but I have to say I find the Classic screen pleasant, even sharing time with my Passport.
