Is this even a legit thread? As I type this from my classic wrapped in an otterbox, I pick up my wife's iphone 6. She has some random "blue" case on hers. Hers feels the same weight if not heavier.

Then I must have a very muscular wife... she carries her Classic like a pro... me to btw.

I love it when a phone has some weight... then I know that it is still in my pocket.

Maybe this thread could be blended into the "ban the person above you" thread. Cause they both are f@cking dumb.

Before I bought my Classic I really used CB as a learning tool. So many people have been great. But come on, phone weight. Really?

Maybe if the Classic weighed less, emails would not be 3 seconds late, Blackberry factories would be pleasant places to work, all Google items would come pre-loaded, and upon start up you could choose Droid or BB10 OS.

I have light bleed and my track pad is crooked, want to know something- this phone ROCKS!

I am glad I bought it. I am glad I own it. I am glad it works for me. That's what it means to own a Blackberry in today's world.

At the Verizon store it was actually behind the counter or back room. You need to really go to the loading dock area of the store. And surprisingly they only had one but it fit my heavy cell phone.

Dude this place use to have Fanboys who would defend this place and jump on all those who said BB sucked like a biker gang. Now it is like the Obama administration.....more important not to hurt feelings and pretend sending Tweets is real Journalism.

Big fan of the weight. The heft means that it's harder to fumble and drop, which everyone else seems to be doing constantly with Samsungs, iPhones, and LGs.

My thoughts in the beginning too. It feels heavier than it looks. But you will get used to it in a day don't worry.....what you need to worry though, are the double typing issues.....it turns me off completely of wanting a blackberry experience again

So finally I pulled the trigger and purchased a BB Classic but believe it or not I send it back after 8 days because of several reasons of which one is the weight of 179 gr. Compared to my 9900 (131 gr) and iPhone 6 (129 gr), I just feel it pulling on my wrist, especially when I'm in bed texting long messages while holding the device above my head. Man, that brick would knock my teeth out if it would fall. I'm not giving up on BB though, as I am very curious in this BB Venice (AKA: the slider).....if it is not TOP heavy like the Classic that is.

Being to heavy is hardly a reason to discard a device like the Classic do you think the Venice will be feather weight its a big phone unless its made of cheap plastic .You just sent back a legendary device .

Not that I'm weak, but 176g is just too much for a cellphone.
9900s weight was maximum, classic's just too heavy.

Call me crazy, but that is why I wont buy the classic and will be
still kicking around with my 9780/9790.
Are u serious? Too heavy? I'm skinny girl 5ft7 and 110 pounds and I think the Classic is just right for me... Woman up... Don't be a *****...

Our company Engineering Manager pick up my Classic and he was like "wow, that's heavy". Then went into build quality and size and started a killer rambling session. He went from a Nokia to Apple, and he still wonders why I choose this device.

We traveled to a trade show. Working the booth for nine days. At the end on the plane ride home he admitted he should have gotten one as well.
