There's that word again. "Heavy." Why are things so heavy in 2014? Is there a problem with the Earth's gravitational pull?

45 lbs on each end of a 45 lb bar... hmm, more than he weighs. It's not bad. Most people I know can't lift their own weight... like me for example.

I do love a solid feeling phone, though.

Edit: aw man, I should have read the posts all the way through.

If anything, all things being equal, I would choose a phone with some weight to it - slightly more than the 9900 sounds PERFECT to me.

So be careful what you ask for. I do use a mobile phone with the speaker but I send a text message most of the time. That is why I'm ok with a smaller battery.
I am sorry to read about your experience.

What I meant by posting the picture was that years ago mobile phone was big and heavy yet people did carry it and use it, OP's reasoning not to choose a phone just because a few grams of weight doesn't really make senses.

The 9900 only weighs 130 grams.

Yeah I usually have really good endurance but when it comes to jogging, I cannot last more than 10min! Haha

I can do all the lifting and chin ups I want but I cannot run LOL. I'm probably gonna have chicken feet.

You'll be amazed some people can really tell the difference between a gram or two! Some people in Vietnam can pick up a fish or a piece of meat can can tell its weight with great accuracy!

You guys can make jokes, but this is a serious issue for those of us who carry phones in a shirt pocket or a suit coat inside pocket. Obviously, it's not question of lifting it, it's a question of it dragging your clothes down and looking stupid. Weight is a serious factor in mobile phones. The iPhone 6 weighs 129 grams. I remember how much I loved the 8120 Pearl because it was so small and easy to slip into a pocket. I was really interested in the Classic (thinking it would be more like a 9900) until I saw how big and heavy it is.
True, imagine running across the street with that heavy lump in your pocket, I think you'll probably see it fly out into the street.

No worries. I'm not offended. That Motorola was a monster.

Just makes me wonder how much bigger are they going to get with these phones.

But its heavy. Got it always in my pocket so its pretty noticeable.
Its not too heavy for the hands of course.

Ill test it a few days and will decide.

Not that I'm weak, but 176g is just too much for a cellphone.
9900s weight was maximum, classic's just too heavy.

Call me crazy, but that is why I wont buy the classic and will be
still kicking around with my 9780/9790.
Weight is good, u build muscle in your hands and it also shows how well the built it is. Over time you will get use to it and forget how heavy it really is!
