Not that I'm weak, but 176g is just too much for a cellphone.
9900s weight was maximum, classic's just too heavy.

Call me crazy, but that is why I wont buy the classic and will be
still kicking around with my 9780/9790.

This is the second thread from someone saying it's too heavy without even holding it.

I have never picked up a phone that was too heavy.

Laptops and tablets, yes. But not phones.

Yes you are crazy. I don't care how silly it looks but I'd rather have a built clip holster than walk around with bbos limitations.

It's heavy because of the battery. You can't have it both ways.

That is pretty heavy considering it's basically the weight of a Z30 but in a small form but really why is it like 50% heavier than a 9900? They both use a stainless steel frame. The battery is bigger and the screen is bigger but not like 60g heavier from just those 2 components

Droid Turbo is 176g, the iphone 6+ is 172. Can't believe someone would not get a phone because it weighs 176g. How much is acceptable? I can see if it's maybe 200+, but whatever....

Have you actually even held one? The 9900 and Classic are two very different devices both internally and externally.

The Classic is quite a bit larger than a 9900. The difference is mainly due to the battery and the quantity of materials required. Apple spends billions on engineering lighter phones but BlackBerry not so much. People who want a BlackBerry or a Nokia prefer the solid feel.

Not to mention that I usually associate weight in electronics with solid components. Heavy phone usually means quality components.
