Am I missing something? I've tried several different brand of headphones in the verizon classic and they all seem to be too thick to sit all the way in.

So. Your Classic comes with headphones. Use them.

I bought the classic used for $150 just the phone. I got a light and shined it in the jack to find a wad a
of paper wedged at the bottom. Freed the paper and it works perfect.

You don't need specific headphones. They should all work.

How can they not fit in ?! Have you tried applying a sort of forceful push?

While I don't use Apple, I've never had an issue with any headphones fitting my Classic thus far. Standard 3.5mm which should be the same as Apple's headphones, no? So perhaps more pressure is needed... Or maybe something is stuck in the jack port?

I've fixed it. There was a bit of paper in there that I had to remove.

T-Mobile's kit was headphone-free for some reason. You can find a pair anywhere (standard 3.5mm), but if you're specifically seeking an OEM headset ShopBB has them here: https://forums.crackberry.com/e?link...token=vZRtawa4 and I see CB has them priced slightly cheaper here: http://shop.crackberry.com/blackberr...medium=content

Verizon Classic does not come with headphones. However it does come with Verizon booklets. Great compromise!

Thanks. I use my beats tours in ear. Work fine except does not skip or repeat tracks like they do in my iphone. Would have been nice to have though.

    Have you enabled Music Shortcuts?

    -Go to Settings
    -Next Main Volume
-Then switch Music Shortcuts to the 'on' position

iPhone headphones don't work in Classic.-img_20150906_231824.png

This should allow you to skip ahead/go back using a press and hold of the Volume up and Volume down keys.

Ah. That happens often enough to me to. When I put my phone in my pocket, head down, I tend to get stuff inside my jack port.

I know with my Classic out of the box, the headphones needed a pretty hard jam to go completely in.
