Hi, Virgin forced me to replace my 3g sim (Virgin -based and working perfectly fine) to 4g sim and ever since then I've had netowrk connection issues.
Often, when connected to network, I can access internet via browser, but Apps show the no network found error. Then I have to toggle the Data off and then on to get the apps to connect again.

Also had sudden disconnection followed by auto reconnections from network multiple times every 40-90 seconds, often showing the SOS emergency calls only until it automatically or manually needs to be reset.

    Troubleshooting tried:
Called Virgin to send a new signal, another sim (twice).
Restarting phone after 10minutes turned off.
Had no problem with 3g sim. But I thought the Classic is 4g compatible so why these issues with two separate 4g sims?

Radio not entirely compatible with network?

Try backing up and reloading with an autoloader, such as one of these:

    Z30 should work for you.

Is this Virgin Mobile in the UK?, if so I recommend updating to the latest version of BB10 OS.

I'm on 10.3.3.3057 and did have issues with getting a 4G connection at all.

This does fix some mobile connection issues and performance problems with the mobile network I believe.

It may help, if you already on the latest version I'd request a new sim card just to see if it improves.

I clicked to check for Software Updates but it says my current software (10.3.3.2031)
    is the latest software.

Should I ask for a 3rd replacement sim card?

Also, when connected to PC running BB Link, I'm told the software version this the latest.
    What should I do?

Hi, I would order a replacement sim to check if it resolves the connection issue. Virgin have not pushed this update you would need to install it manually yourself using an auto loader or blitz file which you can non destructive update

You can look at this thread here for more information.
    Thanks

This is the third replacement already. Replacement sim is not solving it.
I misunderstood, are you saying it IS/ISN'T non destructive to use autoloader/blitz?
Would I lose data by doing so?

Hi I was just starting to follow the guide (First link) and noticed in my About>OS category, that although software version is 10.3.3.2031, the OS version is actually 10.3.3.3057.
So the OS Sideload would be redundant, right?

Yes you are already on the latest version in that case.
Unless it's a hardware issue im not sure how you would resolve the problem. Seems strange indeed maybe backup and completely reload the operating system to see if this resolves your problem

How would I reload the OS?
Or do you suggest a type of Factory reset instead?
Or would you like me to restore a backup instead (although I don't see how this woud change anything as the network had no problems with 3g sim 3 weeks ago)?
Will either procedure cause me to lose data & home screen icons?

Hi everyone, did anyone manage to find a solution to this? I seem to have the same issue on both the Passport and KEYone which leads me to believe the issue may lie with Virgin themselves.

If you do a blitz upgrade it will keep your files and do an OTA update.
If you use an auto loader it will wipe your device

The latest version of the OS has moved up

    Software release:10.3.3.2137
    Operating system: 10.3.3.3216

I recommend getting this upgrade but I can say the phone call quality does seem worse on the new 4G sim I have recently received.

    Hopefully it will improve
