I'm with tmobile on the z10, I'm torn between biting the bullet and getting the classic,or waiting for the slider or if they get the passport. I know the other phones specs are better, but I'm not a big fan of huge phones. Z10 is perfect size, and I think the classic is fairly close to it

If the Z10 is a size you can live with, the Classic then would definitely be an appropriate choice. The Classic isn't that much larger than the Z10, the Classic also has a significantly more powerful battery which will make it all well worth it.

I started off my BlackBerry 10 experience with the Z10, like I'm sure a lot of us here have. However, the Classic definitely is worth the upgrade from it.

10 hrours into the the leak 10.3.2.2639 working with no issues
Going to load it up too, 2339 has worse battery life/reception. Not sure if 2639 will fix it or now, but worth a try. But I bet alpha-numeric dialing is still missing...

Many of us petitioned for better specs before launch. It is what it is. The work around is to keep your phone clean of memory eating Apps and to turn off Apps that "Run in the Background". Check your memory when your phone starts to slow down. If you are under 500mb of usable memory reboot your device. Sometimes you "might" have to reboot a second time.

I keep my Classic free of Google Play and only load Android Apps that work with BBAndroidRunTime. Google play and Google Talk is a memory eater. It is like using 2 OS to run one App.

After a fresh reboot I have 1.2g+ of available memory. If you have under 800mb to start you will not be happy with the performance.

Yea the only android apps I have on my phone are an invoicing/estimate app, and onstar. I come from bbos where I automatically reset the phone every morning. If it drops down to 300mb or so I reset it. Performance isn't really an issue. Just itching for something new and better battery.

    Worst?

For use with Google Play and Internet browsing yes. But for emails, texting, and day to day functions its size and pkb with trackball will make it faster.

I was watching some reviews on YouTube of the BlackBerry Classic and what I find funny is how some of the reviewers will gripe about certain aspects of the phone. For example (and the quotes are paraphrased):

"The back of the phone tends to get marked up when your hands are greasy"....well does your underwear stay clean when your body starts getting greasy too?? Will your iPhone stay clean if I pick it up with my hands after just having eaten French fries?

"I found running games to be quite sluggish on the Classic"....well do you think riding a road bike on an off road dirt trail will be sluggish too? Products have intended target users!

I had the AT&T version first. Didn't like the rounded corners. Then got the OG which I had for about 4 months. Then sold it and bought the SE, which was the best of them all! It really is a premium device. The form factor just got old to me. So I returned it and got the Classic. Love this phone. To each his own, but this is definitely for me.

Just do what I did: download the BlackBerry 10.0 purple wallpaper that you see in all the Q10 promotional shots and use that as your Classic's wallpaper

I would definitely recommend buying it. I love my Classic and this is coming from a Samsung Galaxy S6. Yes the screen is smaller and the camera not quite as good but you really can't beat the pkb and trackpad, greater productivity (multiple email accounts/one corporate/hub), and call quality (could've been the carrier). I played with the camera today as I was taking pictures of my family and the results were really good. I've definitely got use to the smaller screen size. With regards to the battery, the optimization of the OS and the battery have provided me with greater battery life than on my previous Galaxy S6. I usually had to "fast" charge it at least once per day to get me through. I gave the Galaxy to my nephew who absolutely hates the battery life. I told him to keep the charger handy. And that's because the Galaxy has a slightly larger battery!!! I can't say enough that I'm happy to be back with Blackberry.
