No doubt that the recent Blackberry Android news are emerging and creating extremely buzz on the media and comments.

If Blackberry launch Android for Classic would you try it?

Not a good form factor for Android. Nothing has been designed for a small square screen.

I'd give it a try. Already run android apps that work fine with the square screen so previous comments are wrong.

I'd try it, there are certain android apps that I use on my Classic already. I'd be interested to see what it would be like!

    No

    BBOS 10 + pkb = Good combination.
Android + pkb = Failure always, until now.

Several manufacturers tried the second formula before and nobody wanted them. Android OS was made to touch, not to type.

Blackberry pkb is good but this does not compensate enough in an Android device VS Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Oneplus, several others.

Why would I install an OS that will give my BlackBerry viruses? I love my phone too much to intentionally harm it.

Why not even if I doubt it works well on its square screen?

Only if every feature of BB10 is there:
    Gestures like peek
Type and go like the ability to simply start typing "fb This is my FB status" to post that as your fb status, or email joe, etc.
Homescreen one-button speed dialing and other funtions using the long press like changing notification settings or launching apps.
Full customization for notifications for email, text, mms, bbm, contact specific settings, volume control for each individual one, etc.
Auto screen brightness. I don't know if this is missing from Android because all of my Android friends, I notice them constantly manually adjusting the screen brightness when they go from one condition to another. I never have to touch mine...
The ability to control songs (skip, repeat, go back) by simply long pressing the volume keys (yes, Android is missing this)

If they can make all of these things work on Android and anything else I missed, then I'll give it a try. Otherwise I'm good with BB10...

I would try it. My hope would be that BlackBerry incorporates the pkb good into the OS.

If BlackBerry goes this way I have to try....no other pkb makers are left.

I switched to blackberry because i hated the childish UI and goofy colors on android 5.0.

I would be the only human being who is not going back to android.

Since the Classic has similar specs to the 1st generation Moto X, I might. The 1st gen Moto X currently runs Android 5.1.1.

The only issue I have is the Classic's GPU. If I recall, it uses an Adreno 225. It may lag a bit.

Installing Android would not give you viruses... You downloading shady applications or visiting shady websites might though, just like on a desktop PC.

You would have also had the option to install third party applications enabled, which means you would have intentionally opened yourself up to harm to begin with.

Go ahead and do a search for "android virus through text". Now what were you saying about having to intentionally open myself?
