I can just see the name standing out in shops agaisnt familiar entities this Christmas.

    HTC One M8
    BlackBerry Classic (Q20)
    Samsung Galaxy S5
    iPhone 6

Just the wording looks different. The word Classic is so simple and sometimes simplicity works.

And the tool belt will make it familiar to all the Curve's and Bold's people had before.

    Predicting a spike thus autumn.

Wonder if BlackBerry will release the q20 with a triple typing issue rather than the double on q10

I really hope so! I'm cheering for the Classic and the Z3 to pull in the numbers that BlackBerry needs.

They will at least retain some of us legacy 9900 users. For now, the ONLY thing keeping me BlackBerry is the trackpad. NO other manufacturer offers anything comparable. An exclusive clientele RIM has neglected for too many years. They've forced as many of us as they're going to get into their glass oriented stuff. Once the 9930s get too dated, RIM had better have a trackpad replacement or we'll be forced into glass devices. If forced into it, it's very possible that my first choice for a glass device would NOT be RIM. RIM has big competition in the glass market. They have NO competition in the trackpad market. They're only smart to retain and/or capitalize on that already captured market segment.

I've had 3 Q10's, 2 I sold, still using the 3rd. Haven't had the double typing issue with any of them...

Yeah, it's still VERY efficient but showing its age. Really hoping the Q20 can be a worthy successor.

And there my friends proves the problem RIM has wholeheartedly refused to acknowledge. The expectations of its legacy users are so far out of the main direction the market is heading, they are left being forced to upgrade to a technology they are uncomfortable with, or move to another brand that executes (or perceived go execute) that new technology better.

My question for you is if you have loyalty to a trackpad, what do the competitors do or have that would make you pick those devices over say a q20 or q10??

I was all ready to pull the trigger on a Q10, but I'm very curious about what the Q20 will have to offer. . . hopefully we'll hear some official news about it soon. . .

    I have to agree.

Legacy users who are holding tight to their 99xx will be happy. I've been using the Q10 for the past week or so and I hate to admit it, I missed the trackpad...a lot.

I initially thought the tool belt with BB10 was useless, but I must say it's a smart move to bring it back.

I for one will be switching to the q20 from z30 as long as there's no typing issue as some q10 users have experienced.

I personally know about 10 people on different platforms that will also be switching also.
