A 10 foot drop onto ceramic tile did it. Luckily, I have a backup Classic. I am a do-it-yourselfer. Does anyone know where I can buy new glass for the Classic? Thank you.

Why do you have two of the same phone? Also, could you post pictures? I love seeing cellphone gore!
No wife, no kids, so I buy whatever I want. And since I can fix just about anything, I save a lot of money too.
Seriously, Where to get the glass?
I've done a little searching and can't find it.

I don't think they are available yet
Even if you replace the screen it'll never be the same again.

Replacing the glass is out of the question. It's glued on, and Youtube video of other phone fixes nixed new glass.
The photo of the stairs is the leap the Classic took.
I did find a site that sells new BB components. Listed all BB except the Classic (I guess because it is so new). A Q10 screen assembly and keyboard was $34. I will just have to wait a while until the parts become available.
For now, the Classic is a basket case. Once available, I will purchase the pictured screen assembly.
I transferred all data and settings to the second Classic. Note that you cannot restore the backup file of the old device to the new device without first using the wireless Device Switch App between the two phones. Once finished, then the backup file will restore to the new phone via PC.

Thank you for the tip, but they are not stocking Classic parts at this time. I found etradesupply.com that is really cheap for blackberry parts, but they do not have Classic parts at this time either.
Did you ever find a replacement screen? I just dropped mine (that I bought 4 days ago!) and need to find a replacement screen. I'm sick. Had a Z10 for two years that survived multiple drops and my Classic didn't last a week...
We're you using a screen protector? Do they help for minor falls? I suppose 10 feet will bang up any phone. Nice gore, quite shattered.

No protection. :( Only fell about 2 feet to the concrete. Worst part is, I ordered a case the day I got the phone and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow. FML.

Then buy a new one!
PS a "real baller" lol would post a pic with only Benjamins as a placemat for the photo.....smh.
Guess the backup will now be the starter for you :)

Sorry you dropped your phone, the good thing is you know how to fix it. Great pictures!
Let us know if you find replacement parts
Oh..................WELCOME TO CRACKBERRY
Ooooh. Ceramics are killer of Glass. You can break any glass with a charged ceramic. I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your phone, but it's nice to know you have taken care about that.

FYI for anyone else in the same boat. Etradesupply has the glass/digitizer in stock as of this morning. It was listed as out of stock yesterday, so you may want to order now if you need one.
No screen protector. The phone did have a Vela silicone case, and that protected the phone from many drops on the sidewalk / concrete, but not end over end down the stairs. I really think the screen hit one of the prongs on wine bucket stand seen in the photo to the right of the stairs.
Etradesupply does have the screens in stock, but I am ashamed to say that I damaged the keyboard com ribbon during disassembly. Unfortunately, the ribbon is soldered on the keyboard side, so I will have to wait until a keyboard becomes available at Etrade.
Hi. Do you have the ordering info on buying a replacement screen?
