What should do to prepare my phone to sell on Ebay or other? I have the latest leak software do I want to just put it back to the original OS and wipe it clean?

    I'm thinking $325?

    Thank you in advance.

If it's running stable on the latest build, leave it alone. Do a complete security wipe and you're good to go.

Settings / Security and Privacy / Security wipe.

Go into Settings > Security and look for the "wipe device" or "erase device" option. The same thing will happen if you enter the wrong password in 10 times in a row. You will be asked to re-type "blackberry" to confirm you want to wipe and then after 15 or 20 minutes (maybe less) your BlackBerry will be back to factory fresh settings and ready to be set up again from scratch.

Hey 4aces, you can also use BlackBerry link to reload your OS. It will download and bring it to the official software release and wipe it for you.

Although it's nice not to have wires, a power user such as yourself may want to think twice about this technology.

The process generates a lot of heat within the device (never a good thing for electronics) , and the charging times can increase quite a bit. You can also pick up a phone and use it while it's still charging with a conventional system.

    Things to think about anyway.

Thanks I never looked at it that way.

My 99 never wore out the USB port so that shouldn't be an issue.

After some thinking there is no sense in paying another $125-150 for wireless.

Again thanks for the other window to look through.

Different versions of the Classic. One variant (-2) has wireless charging.

Thanks. Never heard of this here in Europe.
Seems we only have the "regular" version w/ wire.
Is this a special limited edition from a certain US provider?
Can someone tell me more about this or direct me to the proper place where I can read more about it?

You should check with your UK carrier or look up the radio band required. The do a search on CB for SQC-100 radio band and compare. The ATT version SQC-100-2 might have your radio band.
