Is there a way to get my email only to open as default, instead of everything combined in the Hub?

In hub management setting, remove all other accounts that you do not wish to see in the hub.

Or isolate that account using Priority Hub.

If it's only one email account that you want showing, you can just:

    1. navigate to it in the HUB by swiping to the right and selecting that particular account on the list on the left

    2. Swipe from the right bezel or hit the End key to return to the Home screen

    3. When you want to access that particular page in the HUB, swipe into the HUB or navigate to it with the trackpad instead of pressing on the bottom-left Hub icon.

The HUB icon opens the HUB to the main page and refreshes it. Swiping into the HUB brings you to the last page you were looking at. Of course, you'll have to leave the HUB on that particular page each time you exit the HUB if you want to be able to return to it quickly.

Another more extreme option is to change the HUB settings so that only that email account is in the general HUB display (as oppposed to 'show in separate account only').
