I accidentally deleted a "DocsToGo" file on a BB 10 Classic running 10.3.3.2129 which I recovered using Recuva yet when I tried to open in MSWord, its unreadable. Any suggestions?

If it doesn't have a file extension... give it one. Add .doc to the end, or better if you know what file extension was original used.
Sorry I forgot to state that the file as it appeared in Recuva and as recovered already had a .doc extension, which is why I first tried to open it with MSWord, but it was gibberish. When I tried to open it in Notepad, it looked like Chinese characters. I had previously done backups thru Blackberry Link but it looked like that only backed up stuff on the SDCard as opposed to internal memory which is where this file resided.
Question:
Is this only that single individual file?
Or, did you had your microSD card or mobile in encrypted mode (BlackBerry protection enabled)? and now trying to read this microSD crad and files may on a different device or made a factory restore?
Because in that case your files are still using the same ".doc" extension but is still encrypted with your previous password.
Classic Passport OS10.3.3.3216
If you have a full backup I believe if you do a complete restore and the file was on the device then it will also be restored.
You might want to do a current backup before you use the old one so you don’t lose anything you have added since the last backup was made.
I don’t think Link backs up the SD card though, so if the file originally resided on it you’re probably out of luck unfortunately.
Good luck.
Is there something like FileManager to move it back to where is was originally?
Trouble is that would only work if it was in a recycle bin rather than deleted from the device.
