Have never owned BlackBerry device and Classic is my first! Love the phone and it's really made for me so I hope there will be similar devices in future, preferably on some future iteration of BB10!

Bold 9900 --->Classic

Classic was my first BB
HTC Trophy>HTC 8X>Galaxy III>iPhone 4S>HTC One m8 for Windows Phone>CLASSIC.
Classic is my favorite phone. Thought I missed the excess apps. Nope. I switched back to my HTC and didn't make it an entire day before switching back to BB10. I'll give the Passport a try if Verizon ever offers it.

Never had Bold, can't work without BB10 (classic or passport).
People that never had a bold especially 9900 missed out I believe on the Best device RIM ever produced .Classic is a nice replacement however who knows what replaces that ? Vienna (maybe) although hoping for a OS10 Classic 2 .
would still buy a Bolt 9900 but I got used to BB10 now and the 9900 doesn't get support from carrier and BBM the way I would hope for, so Z10, Q10, Q5,Z30, Classic and Passport is the way to go for now.
My device collection is growing already but with carrier support.
Regardless I'm sure my daughter would nag me without end to get here a Bolt-9900 like device if it would be able to run on OS10 to replace here Q10, because the Classic is to big in her opinion... well yeah she got a point there, but I love the Classic for it's bigger size.
A smaller Bolt like form factor Classic-2-XS for the Girls and a big size Classic-2-XL for the guys would be great as future devises.

I bought a bold in 2014 after using an Z10 and iPhone. Couldn't get used to the slowness of the phone compared to what I used at the time. I've used Peals and Curves so I was familiar with the track pad/ball. I love the classic. I've never used a Q10, but I couldn't see myself using this form factor phone without a tool belt.

Classic is my 1st blackberry..and I love it
Classic
Once hooked on toolbelt, getting things done without it just seems like a frustratingly unnecessary distraction. Thumbs never seem long enough on my tool-less devices. Lol. ;) Yes I've owned Bolds, and other track oriented BB's since getting hooked on track by a Pearl. In fact I was already hooked on "track" by mouse oriented PC and even the original Mac... Decades ago. It just makes too much sense to navigate with a precise curser pointer tip rather than a screen obscuring finger tip.
Our Classic's toolbelt provides that efficiently precise functionality. A functionality that is winning some favor among users who've never used toolbelt or even BB! WELCOME!! :)
I've only ever had a half decent phone, since I first owned a mobile phone in my teens (an Ericsson brick with a three line B/W text display)
I've been through several Nokia's, a Sagem, Samsung, Sony and a Blackberry Curve. All of them had serious limitations and rarely saw me getting more out of them than calls and texts. I was happy with a simple, no nonsense, basic phone and avoided 'smart' phones and iPhones like the plague.
Then for the last 2 years I grew to know and love a BB Torch 9800 I acquired on Freecycle when my glitchy Sony Xperia-J thankfully said good bye and fell off the kitchen worktop. The Qwerty keyboard took me back to the ease of texting on my Curve, but now I could answer/end calls with a slide of my thumb and could connect to WiFi, browse the web and send photos over Whatsapp. However once I got a taste for 'smartphone' Apps and realised I could hardly get any remotely decent, compatible or supported apps on my BB, well I started to hope for BB to come up with something that could combine all the beautiful functionality of the Torch with compatibility. Low and behold out came the Classic. But boy was it out of my price range. So I grappled with my 9800 for another year, dropping it at least twice a day, secretly hoping it would one day finally break. Once it even cracked the screen on the tarmac, but alas it still worked fine.
Then, my water bottle leaked in my bag and even after thorough drying my Torch would conk out any time I tried to make or answer a call. And I managed for months, with just the use of texts. And finally I cracked. I had no choice but to upgrade. I did some research and shopped around as I just knew the classic was for me. After my Torch I could never go back from a physical keyboard, especially as touch keyboards are so finger-tappingly frustrating and inconsistent and I'd heard that BB10 was the answer to my prayers. Yet Q10 just wouldn't do it as I had also become dependant on my trackpad. So it was buy a replacement Torch or get the Classic. And I found a very reasonable contract with a free white Classic on Amazon.
It arrived on Sunday and I felt like I was holding something out of Star Trek as I booted it up - hence my device's new name 'Data'!
Finally a truly decent phone that for me blows every other smart phone I've ever heard of clean out of the water. As far as I'm concerned, Blackberry have struck the pure diamond of mobile phones. I can't wait till my new leather case arrives and I can get stuck into using it properly without being paranoid I'm going to drop it again as I did on the second day! :crying: luckily it seems to be fine. I am in Smart phone heaven and am so glad I waited this long to get a top of the range mobile. :love-struck:
My 9900 Bold was touchscreen! Before that the 9700 was a great form factor, and the 9000 was only crippled by its constantly failing trackball.
I think anyone with a bold was spoiled by text selection using a trackball / trackpad.
I went from Bold to Q10 to Classic.

From curve 9360 to classic.

Not me, I used a curve from 2008 until 2011 or so, then a Bold from 2011 until last year when I was forced by parent (at the time I was still living at home) to get a new phone due to strange behavior from the Bold.
It is nice to be able to do current-decade phone things with a blackberry, though I miss some aspects of BBOS7 for sure.

I regret never getting the 9900 back in the day.
BB Classic is my first BB device
Curve 8310 --> iPhone 3G thru to iPhone 6Plus --> now moving contacts over to a BB Classic.
Always loved my 8310, the trackball and the keyboard (especially the shortcuts) but I allowed myself to get sucked into the iPhone orbit. I do like iTunes actually, but not such a big fan of iOS and I never fell in love with the whole soft keyboard concept.
Never had a bold as I started with the curve and shortly after moved to the q10. If bb10 hadn't shown up I definitely would have got a bold. Definitely love my classic tho

You and me both. Tried to get one last year and use it, but it was way too slow and I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting BIS or going through workarounds.
