i'm hearing it's in the middle of the volume buttons on the side.
but no worky.

thinking it's in options to enable it, but i CAN NOT get to the music player options!

what's the secret knock?

That's for the volume button music controls, the actual play pause button has no setting because it's always enabled unless a third party App is interfering with it/it's glitched

I enable the Music shortcut keys immediately upon unboxing, so I had no idea if pause was or was not incorporated... Just know that my Pause/Play button works

Maybe the OP should try a reboot? Or the 3rd party aspect you've covered could be investigated...

No secret. It should work at default settings. As suggested, I would restart.
