The accounts are normally redundant. Mostly due to a restore bug with Link.

Conite is right about the update notifications being a glitch from the restore process. In my case they started appearing after switching phones and moving the data from the old phone to the new. I think I did it using Blackberry Link, but I'm not sure, since there are a couple of ways to do that now.

When the notifications appeared I checked "account info" for all Apps that have log-ins associated with them, and the info was correct. Using Accounts Cleaner by Bojan Komljenovic to selectively delete bad looking "external accounts" worked.
