I am having an issue deleting a paired Bluetooth device on my Classic. It is an old Bluetooth device that I used to use but I gave it to my wife when I got a new one. I deleted it from my paired device list but every time she turns it on I get a popup on my phone asking if I would like to connect to it and it is then added back to my device list. When I delete it from my device list I get a popup saying "Deleting the device will remove it from your saved devices. The device will still appear in the Bluetooth settings if it's discovered nearby." How do I get it to not appear if it is discovered nearby? I have discoverable OFF. Thanks.

Discoverable needs to be turned off on the 'device'. If it isn't possible, then you can't.

So I either have to get wife a new Bluetooth headset or deal with the annoying alert every time she turns it on?

Negative. You first need to find the manual for it and set it to a short discovery period. That might resolve the problem
