I get annoying text messages from work. They send them directly to my phone number via email for example, [email protected]. I've asked the boss if I can opt out of receiving them but they say due to my position it's best I receive them. I don't work as a fancy corporate job and never had this problem at bigger agencies I've worked for. How can I block or mute the text messages for my work contact?

You can mute then by opening the contact, choosing Edit, and then scrolling to the bottom to choose Ring Tone and Notifications, and turning off All Notifications.

You can block them by removing them from your contacts and enabling the Parental Controls under Security and ticking "text messages from contacts only."
