I've been using my BlackBerry Classic for about six months now (before that a Bold 9900 and two others). Since the Bold, the usage of the trackpad went down and down - and now I am nearly only using the touchscreen. How about you?

Very little. But those end and send keys....I didnt know how much I missed them. Do I need them? no. My Passport and Z10 are just fine the way they are. But when I take my Classic for a drive, mashing that END key is satisfying.

I use it quite a bit. Coming from the PP, I was use to the touch sensitive key board and I like not having my thumb in the way when scrolling.

The Trackpad is probably the one thing I really miss on my Z30. Would like to have one again. The ability to touch everywhere on the screen is not the same, especially when you need to position a text cursor in a multiline text to correct a spelling error.

About 80-90% of my device use encompasses trackpad involvement. I prefer my screen be used as monitor while my keyboard and toolbelt act as the command center.

All the time, it minimizes the smudges on my screen. Great for sending emails and texts as well - double click it and sent.

When I had a 9860, which has a trackpad and all-touchscreen, I used the trackpad a lot for fine placement of the cursor. If I tried doing that on-screen with my finger I found my finger covered up the area I was trying to exactly place the cursor. I have a Z10 now (no cursor, all touchscreen) and I do the exact placement by zooming before I touch the exact place. Sure that works, however the trackpad method was certainly easier and quicker as well.

I use it quite a lot - given I use a mouse at work (we haven't gone to touchscreen laptops yet) it seems only natural to use the trackpad. It's great for correcting text, far better that jabbing away at the screen.

I switched from the Passport to Classic.
It took a while to get re-familiarized with the track pad, but now I use it very heavily and it's such a nice way to navigate.

Of course, some apps don't support it, but for most of my daily usage for email, phone, web, it is very useful.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that it is AWESOME when unlocking the device with picture password because you don't have to move the number in one motion, you can slowly move it in multiple steps and it only counts as a try when you click the trackpad

95% of the time I use the trackpad. It's especially great for text editing and web browsing. I actually prefer general web browsing on the Classic to any other phone with the possible exception of the Passport. The I and O keys with the back button and trackpad make all-touch browsing feel imprecise and awkward in comparison.

I use it the trackpad/button all the time; but I can see how those using the touch screen may hardy use the trackpad. For example, I rarely use the "Blackberry/options" button on left of the trackpad. On my older BlackBerry, the "Blackberry/options" button was vital for everything. Now we can swipe down or hold down an item on the screen to access the many of those options.

BlackBerry threw us all off with the Q10, by eliminating that row of buttons. Those that used Q10 transitioned into using the touch screen, and now the trackpad seems almost superfluous.

Try using the trackpad to navigate text in an e-mail for instance; now do the same with your fingers on the touch screen. The advantage of the trackpad will be very clear. The trackpad offers finer control of the cursor.

All this confusion wouldn't have happened if there had been a unified vision of what BlackBerry is as a device and as a company.

Yep, love that now I can use websites with links that open a menu when you "mouseover" which you can't really do with a touchscreen. And of course for small links.
