I completely agree with you. However; I don't find my Classic's screen to be "oversized" because it has the tool belt. If I didn't have the trackpad, I would still have it because, like you said, the Q10 screen is too small for efficient touch operation.

Trackpad helps tame oversized screens as well. We still have a PlayBook hdmi into a 99" panel in one conference room. 9900's trackpad thru the PlayBook makes presentations and other uses a wonderful experience. I wish my laptop had BB's optical trackpad...

I use it all the time on my Classic. It took a while to get used to because I hadn't had a trackpad since 2013, and because I'd been using Passports.

But when I'm on my Classic, I always use the trackball.

I try to use the the trackpad as much as possible so I don't have to touch the screen. The trackpad just makes the Classic that more efficient.

I was using my SE until I decided to bust out the trusty 9900 which I waited in line for on launch day! Once I used the 9900, I had to have a Classic (again) becuase of that old school feel and BB10.

Now I find myself reaching for the Classic more and using the SE at home at night and on weekends.

I went from a Z10 to a Classic for the very reason that the Classic has a tool belt. I liked the Z10 but the Classic is much more efficient.

When I'm using my Classic, it's second nature to use the track pad. I'm not saying that I scroll up to select something that I can easily do by just hitting the area of the screen, but I can say that I intuitively know when to use it.

Lol... +1000 !! Three "smart guys" in my crew modded a lock app to disable touch on our 9900s. 26 of us used those 99s for over a year with that mod. Track pad is SO good that we NEVER missed the disabled touch.

Passport makes a decent platform For viewing prints as pdf. I carry a ToughBook for field dwg work, tho.

I actually use the trackpad quite a bit. When I first got the phone, I honestly didn't think that I would use the trackpad, or the entire toolbelt at all for that matter. But now, I actually use it quite a bit. It's especially great for text selection and moving around the cursor like a mouse.

I find the tool belt essential compared to my wife's Q5. However...the trackpad is too small and reacts strangely, not consistent somehow. I miss my 9790 in this respect a lot...hopefully Classic 2 will improve on this..

I use the trackpad all the time. In fact, when I switch to my Passport (like I have at the moment), I miss the trackpad tremendously. I wish there was some way to 'click' on things using the touch keyboard on the Passport.

Honestly, I didn't think I'd need the touchpad, but now that I have the Classic, I really am dreading the day I'll have to buy a phone without it.
