Just picked up a Verizon BlackBerry Classic for $150 off craigslist. Guy who sold it to me worked as a rep for verizon and said he used the phone for a short time while his iphone was being fixed. Popped in my tmobile sim card and everything seems to be working perfect. It's going to make a little getting use to that's for sure.

Welcome! Unfortunately your phone supports LTE bands 4, and 13 - both of which don't work on T-Mobile. Best you'll see if 4G (HSPA) speeds.

I hate to be a buzz kill, but I hope you're not in a city where T-Mobile plans to shutdown HSPA in favour of LTE in their bands.

Typed on my posh black Classic.

Total buzz kill. I believe LTE on TMO is running on band 4 so I'm safe for now. I'm getting LTE in LTE areas. Coming from a dumb phone this thing is fast. Worse case scenario I sell it for $200 and go back to my dumbphone.

Oh, ok! You should be good. I just know having a phone that doesn't support all the bands for LTE on a carrier can be a pain in the ***.

I got my Classic from T-Mobile. I kind of had to since it supports the 1900Mhz spectrum used in rural areas.

As long as your phone supports one of these frequencies, you should be OK:

    - 700 (Band 12?)
    - 1900 (Band 2)
    - 1700/2100 (AWS) (Band 4)

Awesome deal! I'm sure you will love it!

I actually just picked one up on Craigslist for $325 (Canadian) and I thought I got a good deal!

Enjoy your new Classic! I really like how the keyboard feels. Still prefer the Passport but the typing on the Classic is admittedly very comfortable!

    Yes, welcome to CrackBerry.

Don't try loading a bunch of Android apps till you get use to your phone. Then make selective downloads. Google Play will slow your phone down. Use Snap or Amazon to up load any Android apps. There are all kinds of Android apps that don't need Google Play on your phone. BlackBerry andriodruntime is part of the OS

    Just my opinion
