Well, keep it clean body wise, in the speaker grills, ports.

Software wise, if it ever starts running bad over time then give it a Security Wipe/clear browser, Android App cache once in a while

Before taking any drastic action, most problems go away if you:

    • Hold the top buttom and ignore on-screen turn off/reboot prompts till you see a red LED and the BlackBerry logo.

Other than that, that's that. Keep the OS updated.

In terms of hardware, make sure that you're not letting your battery die down all the time and charging back up to 100% as this can put excessive wear on the battery. It's better to throw it on the charger at 50% for example as this will only be considered a partial charge cycle. Keep the device clean with a decent microfibre cloth, and don't use any strong solvents on the display (such as 100% alcohol) as it will destroy the oleophobic coating on the display.

Software wise, clear your browser cache/cookies/history under Settings every now and then. Restart your device if you notice it running oddly, or in more extreme cases perform a reset by holding down the Power/Lock button for 10 seconds until you see the BlackBerry 10 OS loading screen appear, and keep your software updated.

Overall though, it's not something you need to worry about on a daily basis... enjoy your BlackBerry Classic!

One thing that is a concern is the power port. On my earlier Samsung it eventually failed due to usage, so maybe just poor quality. Has anyone had an issue with the power port being sensitive over time with the power cord.

Agree. The USB port may wear out due to frequency use. In additional may caused by low quality plug.
I am think to use wireless charging kits to avoid it.
