The latest GMaps seems to be running pretty well since the latest OS. Anyone else can test it out on their Classic and confirm this?

I don't have a Classic, but I just installed the latest Google Maps on my Z30 running 2582. It does work now. A little bit lag, though.

Not sure what you guys mean. Google maps were always working (without login obviously).

I'm talking about the official Google Maps from the Play Store. Before it takes around 10-15 seconds until it starts up. I was using an older apk 7.0 (thanks Slagman). I just tried out the latest one and it has been consistently opening within five seconds.

I have Google maps on my classic, and it starts as fast as NavFree or Maps.

Locating you, finding addresses, navigation works like it should. Only negative point for me is that there is absolutely no support of the keyboard (well it's an adroid app). I did hope that I might be able to use + and - for zooming, or the trackpad for moving around, but no.

Still nice to have GM on my Classic (prefer it over Maps to be honest, so hard to see the street names on that one)

Google maps works great on a Classic, a tiny bit of lag on launch but no big deal. Like any program when turn-by-turn navigating it can run the battery hard but when charging it's great.

Classic smokes my Nexus 5 in battery life. N5 gets about 12 hours in a pocket, Classic will go all day and night with heavy use.

I'm on 10.3.1.2582 and have the latest version of Google maps installed (via Snap). It works flawlessly.
