First off, I know this thread will likely be moved.

I have an Otterbox Defender now, but there are a couple issues for me. It's incredibly heavy, and weighs down my uniform or whatever I'm in, also the plastic is like Fisher-price plastic. Paid $59.99 and it feels it should cost $19 on Ebay. So, I'm gonna return this case, and use my Prime to look for a good, durable, light replacement. Suggestions?

I was looking at those wallet cases. Doesn't seem like the type of phone to be completely enclosed to me. My opinion obviously.

You know how on some OS7 devices BlackBerry made those fitted hard rubber cases? Do they for the Classic?

They have a "soft shell case" that is translucent but it is described as "plasticy feel" which is a bit of a turnoff for me.

What's wrong with Fisher Price though? They made some quality toys in the 80's! I just picked one of these up for my daughter and the thing is indestructible:

I personally really like the Otterbox case for the Classic. You never really feel the plastic layer anyway since it's covered by their rubber shell. I do wish that Otterbox would make a 'casual' line of their cases that was ONLY made of the rubber. None of the other soft cases feel as nice as the rubber that Otterbox uses, in my opinion. It must be made from real otter.
vpblaze and Baritone Astoria like this.

Honestly, the official BlackBerry soft shell case in black has been working really well for my Classic. It is very slim, yet retains a lot of details of the phone itself, such as the smooth perimeter edge, the dimpled back cover, and the BlackBerry logo on the back. Perhaps my most favourite feature of this case is how when you look at the face of the phone with it on, you can see just enough of the stainless steel frame going around the entire phone. Now that's classy! That's Classic!

Well thanks for the feedback, lads! I really would like a hard, impact resistant case like the Speck CandyShell for my iPhone 5c. But I've yet to find them

I sold the official soft she'll because it made my Classic bulky.
