Prefer the form factor of the bold. Like the keypad shortcuts. Prefer the previous OS (eg. You need to press end call only once for instance. No real need for the hub). Stand-by time is better, etc.

I really liked the 9780 as well and 18 months ago when I first tried the Q10 (under developed 10.1 software at the time) I also went back to the 9780 for a while.

I found the updates finally restored the features I needed so I went all in with the Q10.

Maybe you also need some time to adapt to the new OS.

Milpat, enjoy the phone you prefer to use. It's your choice and you're the one using it. I'm not going back to pre-Classic, but that's my choice too. (Actually I did leave the Classic for about 2 hours but I was back).

I think the best BlackBerry ever was the OS 6 9780 but I've become quite fond of OS 10.

I like the smaller size-feel of the 9700 / 9780 but they are antiques!

My bb for calling texting whatsapping etc
And an appleone for using a bunch of apps that I need for every day drive. I was using my z10 since the beginning and I'm really on the edge.

Hopefully I'll make the right decision.

I'm trying to figure out why people have to hit end button twice to end a call. I only do once and if person on other end hangs up first, I don't have to at all. Call just ends.

2+ years ago I went from 9810 to Q10 and my first few days w/ it were a NIGHTMARE. B/c so many changes I didn't understand or make sense of. But I came here to crackberry and gotTONS of help really fast. By day 3, the changes started making sense. By end of day 5 I was in love. That was still on 10.2.0.

I say give it more time, come here often and ask how to do stuff and I bet you'll be like me and say "now I get why they did that."

The bold 9780 is a great phone still can't believe that bb never updated their best line ever. I'm with you although my combination is a gorgeous Notre 4 and bb 9900

I plan the same thing, 9780 or 9790 and keep my iphone 5 on a data only sim. My existing contract will end in a few months.

If the whole set up will cost me the same as I'm paying now I'll be more then happy.

My old 9780 sits idle on my desk. I couldn't fathom going back to that dinosaur. My Z30 compared to my 9780 is like comparing my 60 inch HDTV to an old black and white console tv with rabbit ears!
