Never heard of this before. Article is from 2012. Phone was developed in 2007.

Interesting, now that BlackBerry is taking the Android plunge with the Priv.

Nothing particularly interesting here... it's not like BlackBerry is making a non-touchscreen android phone. The priv is a run of the mill android phone that happens to have a slide out keyboard.

There have been many old Androids with keyboards. The Droid Pro had a rectangle screen, and a portrait keyboard...

If RIM had devoted a few more months to refine its Storm before rushing that disaster to market... What might BB and smartphone market look like today? A TOO often repeated "lesson not learned".

PKB is a concept that works best for some folks in some applications. Always will, IMO. It might represent a niche market, these days, but at least Chen devoted effort & time to make our Classics pretty darned refined before intro...

My first response to "freaky" phone took me back to the "phone phreaking" days... The days of "phreaking phree long distance, courtesy Ma Bell & Capt Crunch"... ??? Lol... Showing my age, I guess.

I loved my XT560. Water/Dust/Drop proof, tiny, long battery life, rubberized keyboard. The screen was tiny, but since it was a standard(non square) resolution, videos played in full screen perfectly. I actually still have it. Tempted to use it, but Gingerbread is soooo terribly slow and app support is almost gone.
