    Hey guys. I'm wanting to go back to my classic and also unplug from social media. What I'm wondering is about messenger. I deleted my Facebook but I still use messenger as it's how my family communicates in a group chat and it enables me to stay in contact with numerous people who I don't otherwise talk to.... Blah blah blah what I'm wondering is if there's a way I don't know about in the browser or wherever where I can still access messenger without a Facebook account?

    What do you mean? How would you possibly use a facebook messenger without a facebook account? How would you connect to their infrastructure? It's okay, not having facebook installed on your phone and not using it, only the messenger part. That can work.

    It was made possible some time ago, using your phone number just like whatsapp. Of course u can reach much more people this way.

    Now it's not possible to get access only using the mobile number as Whatsapp does but is necessary needed to sign up previously in Facebook page

    I use Facebook Messenger 25.0.0.17.14 and it works
    I can login with username or phone number, without create a facebook accout
