    I had about 15 9900s in the office and about half of the trackpads were twisted. It seems like every Classic has it twisted counter clockwise. Someone here says this is normal but how could that be possible?

    Someone on this forum must have access to a toolmakers microscope and can measure this. I also feel mine is rotated ccw.

    The 9700 and 9800 were perfect. The 9900s had problems with the CCW.

    I thought the same thing except the 9900 the twist on some of them. You could really see it on that device because it was illuminated.

    Or it may be that the button was originally spec'd wrong which would explain why it actually sits in the cut out hole correctly.

    The original trackpad on my 9900 was twisted ever-so-slightly. I thought it was an optical illusion, but the replacement trackpad/keyboard are properly aligned. So the twist is probably real.

    I want to see pictures.... just to see how anal some of you are.... cuz I have a feeling that's what this is about...

    Angry that the trackpad is .25 degrees off while you have a pile of dishes in the sink... ignore your children... beat your wives... never use turn signals... take more than 1 piece of candy from those houses that leave it out on the porch.... etc...

    The fake demos in the retail stores do not have a ccw trackpad which suggests a QC issue like the 9900s.

    Mine is crooked as well. It is not just an optical illusion. I think it has something to do with the manufacturing tolerances of the track pad. If it is under warranty...I heard Blackberry will fix it. Also...the toolbelt feels kinda creaky and cheap...like it was a last minute engineering compromise. Still love my classic and won't trade it for anything (except maybe a Priv) but it does drives me nuts.

    Sent my creaky toolbelt back. They all have the ccw from what I've seen so you just have to get used to it.

    Now that I look at pics of used units for sale on eBay and elsewhere it does in fact look like all units are slightly CCW. Further, even the marketing shots of it actually shows the trackpad to be slightly narrower on the top left side of it compared to the top right. The bottom of the pad doesn't seem to be so pronounced. This makes me believe that all trackpads are manufactured this way and the CCW is an illusion because of the narrowing top left. You would think for aesthetics BB would want it to be symmetrical but that's another story.
