How do I delete Email from my server when deleting all from the Q10 Hub
How can I configure my Email so when I delete ALL messages from the Hub it deletes them all on the server?
I have the display and action settings set to Delete on Hub and Server. That deletes on the server if I delete an individual message. But I often have tens or over a hundred Emails on the hub and delete them all at once but my server does not delete them in the case. I found I had 140,000 Email on my server for a couple of years of thinking they were being deleted.
What I am calling as a Delete All function is when you select the date field in the hub and press and hold it. You then get a message that says "delete all prior Emails". That message also specifically states it will only remove messages from the hub and not the server" (never noticed that message before and thus the thousands of Emails still on my server). I have found if I select a message, hit the 3 dots and select the More function and select other Email messages from the hub then delete them, they are removed from the server. But this is NOT a practical method to delete Email if there are a couple of hundred Emails in the hub. The delete prior removes them all at once.
So how can you do a bulk delete of hundred of messages in an easy manner?
I originally was configured for IMAP thinking it would delete in both places. I changed to POP3 expecting the Q10 to act like Outlook and remove the messages from the server when downloaded to the Q10. I have the sync setting set to 1 day. But my messages are not being deleted on the server when they are removed all at once from the Hub.
This is not a good situation if I need to purge my server manually from time to time to clean up storage. I primarily use the Q10 and don't go to the server at all.
