I just noticed that my Blackberry was set to 30 days for email sync timeframe. The problem with this is that I can't find emails older than 30 days.

So, I am wondering, are there any drawbacks to setting the sync timeframe of all (3) of my email accounts to forever?

Not really. I've always used mine on 'forever'.

Same, mine is set to forever, mind you, I don't usually have any emails older than a few months as I've either actioned and deleted them, or just ignored and deleted them.

I just found one drawback - memory. My email accounts, when all synced forever take up more memory on my device. I set the sync settings from 30 days to forever last night and woke up to a notification that device memory was almost full.

I have 58,000 emails on Gmail and have it set to forever. If it is at 30 days I am using 3 gb of the 16. With all those emails in the device I am at 10.5 gb. You must have a boatload of emails. Do not try forever on the Priv as the Hub stops working. Ask me how I know.

58,000 emails!? Why would you keep that many?

In some cases, it's required to maintain records for 10 years.
But i'd back that up on a server somewhere and clean out the old emails.

Medical consultancy with patient data going back 10 years. No other platform handles this kind of volume and allows me to search quickly. Have tried IOS, Android, Priv and even Sailfish. At any point I will be dealing with 3 to 4 urgent medical problems.

Have you tried a Passport? It has twice as much memory as the Classic.
...but you will have to relearn how to type on a gimpy 3 row keyboard.
