I have about 16GB of music on a Sandisk 32GB SD card. When I am listening to music on the headphones and press the pause button (on the headphones), it never pauses the music immediately. There is usually a 1-2 sec delay, and in some cases a little longer. Usually I don't have any other apps running in the background, and this pause issue is consistent.

The funny thing is, the pause is delayed only when the button on the BlackBerry headphones is used. If I press the pause on the touchscreen, it will pause immediately.

Has anyone else experienced this? I am using a BlackBerry Classic with SR 10.3.1.1865.

There's a slight delay with the side pause button on mine. I don't have any headphones with an inline play/pause button to test.

Slight delay on my Q10 too, but, oh well. Still better than not having that button.

Some headphones have a delay some don't. Current pair of Sony ear buds I use have no delay. It's an OS thing I've experienced for years now.

I did some more testing, and noticed a slight delay with the side button as well. In some cases, the pause didn't even engage. But the touch screen pause is always immediate and reliable. I also tried a different set of the exact same BlackBerry headphones, with the same result (noticeable delay).

Interesting the Sony ear buds didn't have the issue. This sounds like it has something to do with the design of the stock earphones, namely the pause button and the wire on which the signal travels.
