This phone has been finished in 'JUNE' well the prototype.. but the design has changed again recently (due to the leaked pictures) i would think November, but then again... Xmas season is not far away.

I remember seeing the hp pre 3 announced and January and not being able to pick it up until July. I don't know where everyone is from but carrier scheduling and support is a big part of release dates. Plus they might not want this too close to the passport launch. I'd love to see it in Nov but I'm thinking next year for Verizon.

sadly, I think January too.
Nothing much has been said about the classic, and the PR machine would be kicking into overdrive now to pre-hype it.

And I am on Verizon, so it would be safer to say June for them.
Because I want one, and am waiting, not based on any actual information.

I hope that BlackBerry get this device out by at least 1st December. They may have to work overtime but it will be worth it

If not on store shelves, it at least needs to be orderable by end-November (Black Friday) if Blackberry hopes to pick up a revenue bump from holiday sales. Pushing to next year would be a mistake, in my eyes. What improvements could they possible make during a short delay, from Nov/Dec to January, to more than make up for the lost revenue from the major holiday sales season?

It's already seen some design changes since the June prototype, the 10.3 leak and radio files are out there, and the internals look to be Z30ish (based on comments in the 10.3 leak thread). We've already seen it being tested on Verizon's network...how much more work is left to finalize this thing?

I imagine the track pad and toolbelt integration has been a significant hurdle. They probably want to make sure those people that really were missing the toolbelt get what they were expecting (which will never happen, as they will long for BB7).

So it's suppose to release in November. There are news articles about how BES 12 will be announced on Nov 13th by BlackBerry at a San Francisco event. Could this also be the Classic's date for sale? Anyone know what that November 13th event is?

BlackBerry never seems to rush devices out to make holiday deadlines, but I hope it's released by February 2015!

That report was correct about the Passport's release date. We have seen both the Passport and Classic at earlier events. The new post ( http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...e-here-964758/ ) seems to show a finalized version albeit the battery-side. I'm hoping the article is right about the Classic too.

If I remember correctly, the latest official information was given during the Passport announcement by JC. And what he said was "before the end of the year".

Never? I miss the OS7 because BB10 is only "now" getting some of the things OS7 has. Under JC things have changed.

If the device was coming out in Nov wouldn't they have a register your interest page up on the official site. Also I believe the backlog of Passport orders may push the release back.

If the classic is supposed to launch with 10.3.1, then I sadly think it might take until January, as there is not even a 10,3,1 leak yet that I'm aware of.

It would be a lot better to get a late November launch for sure

That's the beta SDK. The 10.3.1 gold SDK will arrive in November. I imagine the Classic will be released in late Nov - Dec still.

Anyways, November, December, or January, as long as my network provider won't have it, it won't work for me.

But I heard it is to be launched this November. If it would be delayed, a possible reason may be the production of more Passport (that sounds nice )
