What I lol about is how people say "It feels good in the hand." You're not holding on to a cactus for pete's sake.

When I want a phone it is not for its beauty but for its performance.

What gives you that understanding? The Classic works very smoothly, and can handle Android Apps very well.

Remember, it's not just the processor that determines speed. OS10.3.1 has made some pretty great optimizations, and was designed with the Classic as its primary goal.

In your opinion do you think the classic's hardware (rumored specs) is going to be able to keep up with future software upgrades (10.4.xxx or higher) and Android app. Not too concerned about the high specs but I do need a phone to last me two years or more.

The great thing about BlackBerry's software team is they have a good ability to optimize the software.

Most users with 10.3.1 will find their devices running pretty darn smooth - despite originally being on 10.0 and 10.2 software.

10.4 will have new features, and there was even a rumor of 10.4 spelling EOL for the 8960 devices (Like the Q10, Z10) - but with the Classic using similar chipsets - it should clear up the confusion. In other words, 10.4. doesn't spell EOL for in market devices, and it should be just as good on the devices as 10.3.1.

Only time will tell, things change - and there's bound to be some hiccups. As long as the community keeps on providing feedback, you'll find BlackBerry supporting these devices as long as possible.

I'm pretty sure people are comparing a phone to other phones they've used rather than to other random objects, such as your cactus. So, when you read, "it feels good in the hand" you should read it as, "compared to other phones, this phone feels more comfortable and ergonomic".
