Moved back after 2 uncomfortable years on iPhone, loving the Classic. The only 2 apps missing that would make the switch back permanent are iPlayer and Barclays, both of which are available on the Q10 - does anyone know how to make these work on the Classic?

Sorry. The Barclays app is not available on any blackberry 10 device, and sadly they seem to have no intention of making it.

I use the apk method of getting my banking app.

From your device, You just Google search for whatever app in Google Play. I typed in "barclays mobile banking Google play" and the first result was the app on the Google Play website (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ebanking&hl=en). Copy the link.

Then I Google search "evozi apk downloader" and go here (http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/).

You paste the link here, and an apk is generated, you click the button, it's green, and it will begin downloading....and you click Save and then it loads and you click Install. You will be prompted to allow your device to download apps from places other than BlackBerry World, you press OK.

    Then your app will download.

I attached a picture of what it looks like on the Evozi site when you're about to generate the link to download.

Yes, I've tried that method many times, as well as just downloading it through Snap, and the Barclays app still won't work. The app loads, but comes up with a Google error, specifically which I cannot remember. Barclays mobile app has never worked on BlackBerry 10.

Does not work on rooted devices.

Have you tried mobile Web version?

I use Halifax and the Web version is better than the app.

What Nat123 said. Use browser and search for mobile version and then add to your home screen. Generally more secure. I do this with American Express and a smaller local bank I use. Looks just like an app, goes directly to log on and works great.

This is where the move to mobile web pages instead of apps is working well but I wish it were easier to correctly add usable icon. Some page shortcuts save great, while others are terrible. Are there any app icon changers knocking about?

Also, banking in particular iis not something you would do offline so the page shortcut makes even more sense.
