The classic has a bigger screen 3,5" but I don't think is FHD, but the rest of specs are the same, aren't they?

Almost identical expect for a few tweaks to the 8mp camera for the Classic.
Classic takes an advantage in:
-tool belt
-larger display
-bigger battery (2515mah)
-overall looks (personal opinion)
But:
-tool belt is not necessary for the core BB10 experience
-display is larger but not better in terms of PPI (plus many argue amoled is better for battery saving)
-battery is smaller on q10 (2100mah) but is removable
-looks again are a personal matter, material wise i think the Q10 is better build.
Google BlackBerry Classic specs and use the freaking search button in the forum man,

There are a number of differences...
Uses a Nano Sim in place of the Micro Sim
Classic has 294 PPI in place of the 328 PPI on the Q10
Larger Screen that is now LCD in place of AMOLED
Larger keyboard
Gorilla Glass 3
Processor Sped, GPU, Camera, RAM, Sensors, Ports are all pretty much the same....
USB on the go has been added
Battery is larger to accommodate the large screen and different screen technology
And of course the whole toolbelt
17 H Talk time on 3G vs 13.5 H
What OS has come with the Classic release?
Q10 - 10.3.1.1151
Classic offers huge margin for BlackBerry
CB10 on my Passport
The Classic also has USB OTG.

Like in retail. I sell the BB Classics with 14% margin. ;) This is HUGE compared to similar priced phones.
Well my Q10 is 2 years old and some. Paint fading off the keys, and I'm due for a upgrade. So when in Rome?

Oh you must have gotten a very early VIP preview unit then ;)
The Q10 has been released April 2013 in Europe, so it still has a few months to reach those two years.
The Classic is available in some countries right now, don't know about Italy, but here in Germany first retailers already got stock and Amazon already started to ship pre-orders.

Yeah your right it hasn't quite been 2 years. Still some new hardware for 50 bucks seems worth it. The next big phone will prob be all touch and that's not for me.

Here is a pretty good comparison chart: BlackBerry Classic vs BlackBerry Q10 - Phone specs comparison
And you know what? I'm suddenly not that convinced I should move to the Classic from the Q10.
The main benefit of the Classic (to the Q10) is the tool belt.Of which I only *really* need/want the trackball. What a huge difference it will make to selecting a few letters or words and copy/pasting. A huge massive difference. It's HELL with the Q10. And that's when it works. So many pages or "things" don't bring up the selection tool at all when you press and hold....
The other benefit would perhaps be a larger batter, but even so I'm not sure. Overall it doesn't seem to last longer that the Q10 in real terms, AND it's unremovable.
Another small benefit is the Gorilla Glass, apparently. Or is it a benefit? I don't know. Is is better than the Super Amoled?
Another benefit is that it comes installed with the ability to install Android Apps. How does the Amazon thing compare to snap?
One obvious downgrade is the PPI. Would this translate as pics and clips being lower quality?
I'm not thrilled that a phone coming out almost 2 years after the Q10 doesn't have a faster processor or more Ram. Am I alone?
Trackball?

Can someone who owns both a Q10 and a Classic take a photo of the two screens side by side to compare?

The Classic is also supposed to support wireless charging (Qi on Verizon version)

Look up Dhabkirk, he had a pretty good review of an early test unit on his site, along with some of the older classic threads, all this has been covered.
Most say the lcd screen is better than the q's amoled, but you know what they say about opinions.
I'd love someone from BB to address my points, especially the last one.

C&P and text selection was pretty poor on the Q, I have to agree there. The trackpad should offer a huge improvement in this regard. I own a Passport and use the keyboard trackpad feature very often to select text.
It has a ~20% higher capacity compared to the Q. Depending on your use, you either get a somewhat noticeable difference to virtually no difference. The more you use the phone, especially with an active display, the less the difference will be. The more you have your phone on standby or the more phonecalls you make, the larger the difference will be.The other benefit would perhaps be a larger batter, but even so I'm not sure. Overall it doesn't seem to last longer that the Q10 in real terms, AND it's unremovable.
As for removable batteries, I bought a powerpack months ago, enough juice to charge my Passport two times when needed. It also has to charging ports, which means I can simply charge two devices at once.
Gorilla Glass has absolutely nothing to do with AMOLED, it is just the material of the screen surface. GG is said to be hardened, so it is more resistant to scratches and shattering. However you shouldn't expect miracles here, GG can still be scratched easily by some common particles and when you really care about a scratch free display, you still need to get a screen protector.Another small benefit is the Gorilla Glass, apparently. Or is it a benefit? I don't know. Is is better than the Super Amoled?
I don't use snap or basically any Android apps, but the Amazon store is rather limited. You get some popular games there, but especially in terms of apps it is kind of limited. You should at least also use Snap if you really care about all this Android stuff.Another benefit is that it comes installed with the ability to install Android Apps. How does the Amazon thing compare to snap?
This is where the display panels come into play. Q10 uses a SuperAMOLED panel with a pentile-matrix. Classic uses an IPS one with a standard RGB matrix. The pentile uses a different way with subpixels. Every pixels is formed of subpixels. Pentile uses two subs to create one pixel, one small green sub combined with either one large red or large blue subpixel. Combination goes like sG+lB,sG+lR,sG+lB and so on.One obvious downgrade is the PPI. Would this translate as pics and clips being lower quality?
The common RGB matrix uses three subpixels to create one pixel. Three similar sized red, green and blue subpixels: R+G+B,R+G+B and so on.
That means even though the Q10 indeed has more pixels per inch, the Classic has more subpixels per inch, even though it has a larger display.
So what does this mean? Is the Classic screen better or worse? Saying is that you really can't compare sheer ppi numbers of pentile vs RGB matrixes due to the subpixel situation. I would say you most likely won't notice a difference at all in many situations, in others you might even feel the Classic could be superior, because the RGB matrix doesn't create any raster effects in certain color combination.
Nobody here is really thrilled either, for example I was one of the many people who kept fingers crossed for Z30 specs at least. Now we can defend BlackBerry by stating this device isn't marketed or targeted to any existing BB10 users at all. However that shouldn't pretend BlackBerry to but some more decent hardware inside the shell. I have the bad feeling BlackBerry had a bunch of the existing chips laying around and reused them to manufacture the device even cheaper while selling it for a pretty steep midrange price.I'm not thrilled that a phone coming out almost 2 years after the Q10 doesn't have a faster processor or more Ram. Am I alone?
Besides that I am still pretty happy with the performance of my Q10. Combined with the missed trackpad and the slightly larger screen I would upgrade once the price comes down a bit more. It also remains to be seen if BlackBerry really managed to completely fix the dreaded Q10 double-typing with the Classic, that alone would be another worthy reason to upgrade.

Don't underestimate the huge difference of the displays! The difference is like day and night!!
Posted via CB10
It would be nice if you could be a bit more specific. Do you own both devices? Which one is better? For example the Classic should have a much brighter display, the rather dim Q10 screen was always one of my complains when using the phone outsides on a nice sunny day in summer.
Posted via CB10
The Classic's screen is brighter than the Q10's, it's bigger (which is a HUGE improvement imho), and the differences in resolution are not noticeable. The Classic's screen is great, clear and sharp, and I do not see any stairs or pixels. Maybe eyes 20 years younger than mine will, but I don't.

Black color displayed by an AMOLED screen (Q10) is much darker than black on an LCD screen (Classic), as each pixel can be turned off.
Which way?

Interesting.
