Exactly. Not to mention... Those kind of rules don't apply to... CLASSICS! Boom!

I don't view this as a logical argument -- the auto industry advances at a far slower pace than the technology sector.

I had the Q10 for about a month and didn't view the phone to be slow (it certainly wasn't the fastest device I have used though). However, if you are putting out a new phone and charging $450 it should not have 3yr old specs. Just my opinion but if the oneplus one can have top level specs than blackberry could have w/ something a little bit more up to date.

This should make current Q10 owners happy (i surely wouldn't upgrade), as their phone should be able to handle all software updates for the next 2-3 yrs.

This is correct. A phone in 2015 with technology of 2012 equals to a car in 2015 with technology of 1985. There are some good cars from 1985, some people want them and buy them here and there. Same happens to BlackBerry products right now. Just wait a few months and the sales numbers will show how many people love the expensive classics.

If you can get a classic through Verizon or AT&T on contract for $49 then we should be seeing some BlackBerry phones sell. That's one hell of a deal.

    It's a BlackBerry Z30 on Big Red
Please explain to me how this is a deal.

Yeah, people buy a mustang from the 60's even though it doesn't have a modern radio or navigation, because they prefer it.

If cars were like smartphones, we'd all be driving Priuses!

Yes, some people do. Some people buy Classic. Not sure which group is larger though. There is a better chance to see a 60's Mustang on the road today than someone using a BlackBerry phone. I feel classic now with my BlackBerry Z10. Feels good!

Wait, so you think one 6950 is faster than 2 7950's? Lol, do you even actually build PC's?? LOL. Let's just do one 3GB 7950 versus your 2GB 6950 just to make it more fair ok? ;-)

My card is older with less tech then yours yet on par with your card.

Mind you this is 2 amds, mine is a o/c from factory and way better then amd but I put a average card to compare benchmarks.

Give me the exact card name, and the price you paid.

actually they turned profitability this quarter, although they are losing customers even in services as total revenue is less than last quarter but revenue breakdown is less... :/

Anyways this is a blackberry forum, the classic has lower specs but optimized on par with higher end phones that have higher specs. The price for the classic is fine. People need to learn to save money.

and different os have different CPU requirements too... lol. any app that relies on having more ram wont work on the iphone. same with the cpu, an app needing more cpu will lagg badly on the classic

your logic is flawed. if iphone is years back in terms of a component, then the OS can live with that, but if its blackberry its underspecced overpriced and the os, which can clearly handle itself with these specs is bad...?

you know that the amount of memory and the speed of the memory is one of the biggest factors that are pulling back app development nowadays... theres even a term for that.

Ok, and according to your own source, the 7950 out performs the 6950, and that's just one. And you said that your one 6950 out performs (not matches) my crossfired 3GB 7950's...

So, I don't want to say that you're wrong or whatever but, yah, you're "not correct."

Edit: Oh, forgot the second part of it, I don't have it in front of me now, but it's made by Sapphire and is the Dual X OC edition or something like that? I know it has 3GB GDDR memory and is the 7950 GPU.

marketing, R&D (own cpu), software development, $950 is not justified, but you cant look at the hw only... thats where all ppl fail the price of the classic too. they compare to android phones where theres no os development costs
