I purchased my new blackberry classic and when I put in my SIM card it says no SIM card detected, it's a unlocked verizon phone and my service is also Verizon

Can anyone help?

There is either a fault with the SIM, a problem with the SIM card reader, a hardware problem within the phone somewhere or you may have inserted it incorrectly.

It happened to me several times and at the end it always worked again, try the different techniques

0) turn off signal
1) try a different sim card
2) turn off the phone
3)place a bit of tape over the sim card to make ticker
4) clean sim card electric contacts
5) try to insert without the the metalic frame (last option and risky, it will be difficult to extract again without tools)

following above tips you have 85% Of chances of success
