xenolock - shopblackberry only sells gsm phones. everyone is expecting a Verizon version of this phone but no one knows when..... maybe we'll get some details on 12/17.

1.) If I just pre-ordered the phone and it's not out until December 17, when will they charge me for it? (Will it be instantly?)
2.) Why do you need to buy a specific model for the Q10 to make it work for different carriers but for the BlackBerry classic there's only one model?
3.) The release date is supposed to be December 17, 2014 but does this count ShopBlackBerry.com or just NY & selected cities?

Such vagueness when it comes to the specs.

Someone was either too lazy to look at the spec sheet before going live with this, or maybe the final specs aren't set in stone yet.

Either way, for $449, people should be made aware of exactly what they're paying for.

Just preordered mine (Canada) and it shows a $1.00 pre-auth on my online credit card statement

BlackBerry announced the device, made it available for pre-order, and listed a shipping date on the shopblackberry.com, instead of just "In Stock". I'd say that's an improvement!

What's missing: tech spec sheet and whether cards will be charged immediately (for those who aren't familiar with shopblackberry.com's policy of charging just before shipping, except for PayPal (which is PayPal charging immediately))
