I hope BlackBerry can partner with FedEx to have these phones delivered on the 17th for those that pre-ordered

Very curious about this as well and how well they work.
Just as well as the 9900 that had the same thing I bet...

A beautiful design, but what was BlackBerry thinking?

Putting a 2 year old SoC in it that is inferior in every way to nowadays standards in terms of performance but more importantly also in terms of energy efficiency, no removable battery, no 802.11ac and charging a hefty premium for it isn't going to cut it.
The Q10 has been released almost 2 years ago now and it basically has the same specifications beside the build quality, toolbar, battery and the screen size.
For demanding power users the Q10, Z10 already feels a bit sluggish for intensive multitasking especially with an OS and web browser that rely heavily on the GPU.
The 720px720p and absence of the new Wireless AC standard I can live with, but a two year old SoC in a premium device that is in high end territory in pricing range is an insult, and no removable battery which was to many an essential part of the classic BlackBerry devices is a big con too in my humble opinion.
If sales and consumer market share matter then this isn't going to win them much new users that's for sure.

That being said I do love BlackBerry and the design of the classic looks outstanding.
Worse, the Q10 was already behind when it came out, so it's more like 3 year-old hardware, not 2...

Yeah I appreciate that comparison also....I am getting the classic as soon as VZw has it, but that size is getting close to too big. I hope I can still keep it in a shirt pocket?
The size looks gigantic to me too. Coming from a Bold 9900 this looks to be 30-40% bigger I think they should of stuck with the q10 size because portability and usability with one hand were trademarks of the BB candy bar phones.

I'd love more side by sides with the q10 in apps so we can see how much more the extra screen real estate provides.

Some of the trolls here refuse to call it the classic because it's "missing" some small feature or function of their bold. It's such a tired argument and a silly reaction.

Wonder how much bigger of a battery they could have fit had they made it as thick as the Q10... Anyone here find the Q10 so thick it's unmanageable? Why do we need it any thinner?? I would have taken a few more hours of battery life over thinner any day of the week...

Yea... when this phone started out it was going to be a Q20 but chen changed everything even the model is called 'Classic' no Q20 branding anywhere...

And i said before this is a first 'line' of a new series classic.... they will no doubt release a classic II III etc.
