No. It's fixed. There's no need for the phone or search icons with the Classic anyway. The phone is activated by hitting the pickup phone button on the left. And to start the assistant, just start typing.

A question for all of you Classic users. Given that Verizon has not yet released the Priv and given the suggested price of that and the fact that my Bold might be long dead before that ever happens, I'm seriously considering going to the Classic (if the price ever drops from the $400 price tag it still has.) So, my question is, do you like the Classic enough to forego the Priv? Does it work well enough for your needs, is it stable enough to continue for the next few years, you think? I'm not a heavy apps user, would like Facebook and weather apps. Was trying to hold out for the Vienna as I prefer that form factor, but my phone is really giving me problems last few weeks and don't think I'll be able to hold out. The Priv is too big, too pricey , and too android for me right now.
