    December of 2014 was the launch of the Classic.

    John Chen in media interviews had pressed hard for a August/September/October time frame but couldn't guarantee it.

    When it did launch in December he was quick to point out that designing the software for the Classic's touch screen, trackpad and other buttons wasn't as easy as people think. I suspect it took longer than many expected because of the lack of experience the BB10 team had with the trackpad functions on BBOS.
