the Classic is highly addictive.
Probably the best BB ever, along with the Bold 9900. PPSE and Q10 were also great devices, but the toolbelt cannot be beat.
I used the Classic since day one, then PPSE, then back to Classic, then KeyOne, then back to Classic again (i don't mention the phones i only kept for a few days... Android slabs or iPhone)...
The Key2 has many flaws (Android and everything related: bad notifications system, bad permissions / authorizations, and mainly a sh*tty interface... looks more like an app launcher than a real ergonomic interface, but WTH, people seem to enjoy so who am I...)...
However, despite all that, the phone is still usable for everyday life!
i hated the KeyOne... thumb cramps, out of balance device, small keys... woke up my tendinitis in my forearms and wrist pains as soon as i used it (and believe it was much much less than i used to abuse my Classic), couldn't use more than an hour per day...
BUT i am almost fine with the Key2! PKB is much more comfortable.
be careful: it is no Classic or Bold 99xx! the keys are less sculpted, the autocorrect and "word swipe" are often a hit & miss. However the "key travel" and "clickyness" are really really good (similar to PPSE, indeed).
I really urge all the Classic/Q10/99xx diehards to try the Key2. It will never be as good or productive as a BB10 device for the heavy users, but you will get some nice features for this trade-off : i can finally use Uber and the likes without headaches, finally i can have a nice Web browser, and the "OK Google" touch can be really useful sometimes.
i still miss my Classic, but now my Key2 is my daily driver!
However i really hope we will get a Key3 or a smaller PKB device someday!
Is the KEY2 not as out-of-balance as the KEYone? I have the latter and can't get over that, along with the sides being very slippery and the back not being nearly as grippy as the Classic's. The KEYone is just not a comfortable phone to hold compared with the Classic.
And is Oreo enough of an improvement over Nougat to be worth it? I mean, the KEYone is getting it soon so that mystery won't stay unsolved, but I don't see much changed between Nougat and Oreo, and I still find Nougat clunky and overwhelming.
Your last comment about hoping for a smaller phone with a PKB -- yes, this please. I loathe that the industry is moving to nothing but 5"+ devices. I do not use my phone as a TV. When I watch videos on it, I don't care that they're smaller. It's not a TV. I have a PKB because I type a lot, not because I like staring at videos. TCL either needs to make a slider and keep the KEY screen size, or make a bar phone with a smaller screen, like the Classic. The Classic's form factor is almost perfect.

hi OrlandoAlex,
well, the Key2 is still unbalanced, but the PKB sits higher than on the K1 (or is it an impression? I'm not sure), the keys are easier to type on (no need to "nail type" , even with my fat/flat thumbs) and the KB scrolling is also much better...
(i used my K1 with a rubber case so i cant comment on that)
so well, the K2 is still no Classic, but it's even lighter than the Classic, so its clumsiness is more forgivable than K1's.
to be honest, i can't feel any difference between O and P, so don't count on that to make your decision. ;-)
I can only agree with your comments about size: i never understood people who use their phone as a video player so i am not the target, obviously, but the Android / iPhone crowd doesn't care about BlackBerry, so why haven't TCL targeted the BB fanbase even more, with a Classic 2 (sizewise)? i don't know.
Ya I hope there a key3 whitch would be smaller may wait

Overall, I enjoy my KEY2's pkb more than my KEYone's. The matte keys are just so much nicer and they don't feel sweaty when you type on them. However, the keys could use a bit more sculpting, as the majority of the surface is quite smooth. I'm sure I'll get more accurate with it with some time. Just had it for like 5 days so far.
