Coming from a Q10 plagued by the double-typing defect, I am just a bit wary of keyboard oddities.
The keyboard on the Classic feels solid.
I do notice, however, that when typing the keys seem to angle upward. This is especially visible on the top row.
I hope that this is just an odd appearance and that the keys will not be prone to catching on things and popping off or collecting dust and grime.
    Time will tell.

I haven't tried one myself, but the general consensus among the reviewers who gave it a fair shot seems to be "best BlacBerry keyboard yet"

I hate to admit it, but the keyboard is awesome. I never like the Q10 keyboard and after 9 month of using it could not type as fast as I did with 9900. Well, BlackBerry got this one right as I can fly on this board. If you are coming from a 9900, you won't be disappointed.

I've been mashing on this keyboard for days now and I've not noticed any awkward arcing on the keys during depression. My only complaint has nothing to do with the board itself but with autocorrect. It seems vastly less... well, functional, than my Z30 and Z10. I suppose that has something to do with them assuming you won't be making clumsy software keyboard mistakes like you would on the fullscreen BB10 devices, but even so, I fat finger some words sometimes and it'd be great if obviously poorly spelled word would be corrected.

Then again I wouldn't mind the Passport's flick feature either for prediction. I miss that about my Z30 and Z10.

Same here. Loved the 9900 keyboard and the Q10 was ok imo. This keyboard on the Classic is an absolute dream!!! Zero mistakes, nice-clicky feek, and keys positioned just right....

Honestly, my fingers move faster than my brain can process on the Classic keyboard. LoL, no BS.

Your are right about autocorrect. Not sure where it disappeared to. It said it is on but it hasn't been active.

I certainly hope the spelling feature is currently 'broken' on the Classic. It is very inefficient as it currently works.

Someone should give RIM a shout about it.. autocorrect isn't aggressive enough on the classic for some reason

Not aggressive enough? I have not seen it fix a single error yet.

    Autocorrect? What's that??

Edit: dammit, should have made this response from my Classic within the app so my signature shows. Would make more sense, lol.

Edit 2: There we go, see my 2nd try below. :-P

Lol. I've seen that sig enough to have known what you meant even before the edit. For me, no matter how good a keyboard is, the combination of fat, clumsy fingers and phone size keys leads inevitably to occasionally hitting the neighbor of the intended key. I have grown accustomed to relying on autocorrect to catch and fix those for me. Also when my brain out-paces my fingers and leaves letters behind, autocorrect is my lifeguard. I feel as though I have entered dangerous territory, as of late...

How much better would you say it is from the Q10, is there a difference in size per key or clicky-ness?

I'm stuck between the passport & classic, currently on a Q10. I do believe that the Passport may show better valuefor the money because of the spec upgrade, but I do not want to sacrifice the keyboard I currently have.. Even though it has severe double typing, lol

Surprisingly the keyboard is much easier to type on than the Q10 even though it's only slightly larger. I guess the added size was just enough.
